Renault R30

The Renault F1 Team took the covers off its 2010 challenger, the R30, today in front of assembled media at the Valencia circuit in Spain.

The Renault R30 is a Formula One motor racing car designed and built by Renault for the 2010 season.

Renault has also confirmed Vitaly Petrov a.ka. “Vyborg Rocket” as their second driver, the first Russian ever to drive an F1.

Robert Kubica is the other lead driver for Renault F1 2010.

Chassis Moulded carbon fibre and aluminium honeycomb composite monocoque, with engine incorporated as a fully-stressed member

Suspension (front) Carbon fibre double wishbone, operating inboard torsion bar and damper units via a pushrod system

Suspension (rear) As front

Engine Renault RS27 2,400 cc (146.5 cu in) 90° V8, limited to 18,000 RPM naturally aspirated mid-mounted

Transmission Seven-speed semi-automatic titanium gearbox with reverse gear “Quickshift” system

Weight 620 kg (1,367 lb) (including driver)

Tyres Bridgestone Potenza / OZ Wheels (front and rear): 13″
