Charity karting won by Michael Schumacher, while Felipe Massa third
A charity karting event in Brazil yesterday saw the return of Felipe Massa behind the wheels in a race, while Massa’s former teammate, Michael Schumacher, won the event.
Massa started 11th from the field, edging Renault test driver Lucas di Grassi for the third spot after an excellent pass on the last lap.
This is part one of the annual International Challenge of Go-Kart Champions in Florianapolis.
The event also saw Force India driver Vitantonio Liuzzi coming in fourth, while the field also saw past and present F1 drivers racing such as Nelson Piquet, Rubens Barrichello, Christian Fittipaldi Antonio Pizzonia, Enrique Bernoldi, Tarso Marques, Ricardo Zonta and Luciano Burti.
The event continues today for a second race, after which an overall winner is crowned.
