The two time world champion Fernando Alonso was quoted as wanting to see more of night races as seen at the Singapore GP. The 27-year-old, now dubbed “Prince of Darkness” had a sublime race where he unexpected won the Singapore Grand Prix coming off 15th on the grid

“It was a new and certainly historic experience for Formula One. I don’t think it will be the only nightime race, after Singapore there will be other such Grand Prix, there is talk of one in Japan, in Malaysia. All us drivers had fun. It was a good experience”
