FIA will appeal if Ferrari wins its injunction
The proposed 2010 Formula One budget cap is in a head-on collision between FIA and Ferrari in court.
The lawyers from Ferrari has given their statement in the one hour hearing yesterday and the Paris’ Tribunal de Grande Instance is set to announce later today of its verdict.
If Ferrari happens to win its injunction against FIA, the governing body has plans to appeal.
At the hearing, FIA defence presented their case by sharing dossier of letters from several potential 2010 entrants, who are in favor of the proposed budget, if they were to financially be viable for the 2010 application.
The Ferrari team of three lawyers argued that FIA has exceeded their rights under the 2005 agreement, where rule changes need to have F1 Commission involvement.
Tough call eh, we shall know of the verdict soon enough.
