Bernie Ecclestone F1 commercial chief ponders over the applicants

Singapore is among the five countries looking to host Formula One in the future. South Africa, Greece, Russia and Valencia are bidding to be part of the 2008 F1 season

Bernie Ecclestone F1 commercial chief also indicated that Singapore stands a good chance to be accepted and if so, the Singapore leg will likely be a street course

Aside from the above mentioned countries, Mexico and India looks like to be given the F1 status and a second race is proposed in the United States. The F1 governing body is looking at a prospect of 20 races a season from 2008
