plank-wear.jpg

This has got to be a joke right. I was catching up on my F1 news online and I read this. If this is true, then this is totally big news. It is rumored via bleacher report that Jo Bauer, the FIA F1 technical delegate, is set to announce the disqualifications of six F1 drivers who happen to finish Top 10 at the Singapore Grand Prix last week

The drivers said to be disqualified due to excessive plank wear are

  1. Nico Rosberg (AT&T Williams) Finished 2nd
  2. Lewis Hamilton (McLaren Mercedes) Finished 3rd
  3. Timo Glock (Toyota Racing) Finished 4th
  4. Sebastian Vettel (Scuderia Toro Rosso) Finished 5th
  5. Nick Heidfeld (BMW Sauber) Finished 6th
  6. Jenson Button (Honda Racing) Finished 9th

This is just hilarious and I do hope its not confirmed. Well for the clueless the F1 planks are 1 cm thick attached to the bottom of F1 cars to prevent damage to the bottom, and if the plank wears more than 1 millimeter then the car is disqualified

Edit: I couldn’t find any supporting article to confirm this report. Any leads on this people?

Hi my name is Sha. I run this Formula One fansite blog. This is not the official Singapore GP website, their link is here. My first real memories of watching TV, when I was young was recalling vivid images of my sporting heroes like Ayrton Senna. With the Singapore GP debuting in my country, I decided to setup a fun blog on F1
