This will be F1 first ever night race and on most driver and team minds, are the concern of a wet track under floodlighting plus the visibility of night driving depends solely on the mercy of the night lights

There have also been concerns regarding the glare resulting from the night lights, which might affect divers safety during the inaugural F1 Singapore race. But the Singapore F1 authorities response is that they are confident such safety issues has been addressed

Valerio Maioli an Italian company is in-charge of the night lights project who have so far outfitted 27km of optic cable, 110km of power cables, using floodlights that are four times brighter than stadium lights and uses 2000watts of power. The lights comes with an extra backup power for any faults plus an engineer on standby for each of the power generator

On Singapore part, the authorities have resurfaced the streets which is part of the F1 circuit which is 5.05km in distance, to ensure that the roads are ready comes September 26-28th. Despite all assurances and test taken, we can never know the outcome until the event play itself out. I can only hope for the best

Hi my name is Sha. I run this Formula One fansite blog. This is not the official Singapore GP website, their link is here. My first real memories of watching TV, when I was young was recalling vivid images of my sporting heroes like Ayrton Senna. With the Singapore GP debuting in my country, I decided to setup a fun blog on F1
