There was a live demonstration of how the lighting would work on the actual F1 racing day.
Lighting consultant Valerio Maioli S.p.A. who is in-charge of the project lighted up a 60 meter plus stretch of the St Andrew’s Road, which simulates daylight conditions needed for the F1 race
The usual bigshots was there like ministers, officials from Singapore GP and Singapore Tourism Board
The lighting was made possible by Valerio Maioli state of the art lighting system which uses aluminum trusses to hold the projectors.
The trusses are supported by strong towers which are around 10mx32m dimension (height x width apart)
The demonstration will be up and running on St Andrews Road until 6th April.
Do come down and see it for yourself (7pm to 12am daily)
The F1 Singapore track will have some 1,500 lighting projectors and powered by get this, 12 twin-power generators!
That’s a lot of power. And it will be four times brighter than stadium lights
