At the FIA Friday press conference in Spain, Nick Heidfeld spells his concern over the upcoming night race in Singapore next year.

There has been issues that commercial considerations are of more importance over the safety of the drivers and a reporter raised the question to Nick Heidfeld (BMW Sauber)

Nick Heidfeld responded that he does have issues in particular the safety despite he mooted the idea of a night race.

He mentioned street circuits such as Monaco, upcoming Valencia and Singapore are “more dangerous” as there is no area to run off when problems with the car arises

He also highlight that the lighting system has to be working “perfectly” as when a driver is blazing down 300kph down a stretch and if the lights goes off, “it is a bit more of a problem” as Nick would put it

Well we just hope F1 Singapore will turn out fine and safe for everyone

Hi my name is Sha. I run this Formula One fansite blog. This is not the official Singapore GP website, their link is here. My first real memories of watching TV, when I was young was recalling vivid images of my sporting heroes like Ayrton Senna. With the Singapore GP debuting in my country, I decided to setup a fun blog on F1
